JSSBO – Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off
This cast-off is extremely versatile, and works very well with ribbing. It’s particularly useful for:
Toe-up Socks
Top-Down Hats
Top-Down Sweaters
No special tools needed for this one, other than yarn and needles! The instructions for this are done for a 1X1 rib, but it can be used for any combination or ribbing or stockinette. Just follow the steps to process a knit stitch and a purl stitch, and you’ll do great!
Written Instructions
- Knit one stitch
- *YO, Purl one stitch, and pass the YO and knit stitch together over the purl stitch.
- YO, bringing the yarn around the back of the needle, over the top, knit the next stitch, and pass the YO and the purled stitch together over the knit stitch.
- Repeat from * until the end of your row or round.
